Wine Review who will be participating with us on all
                of our Shootouts. International
Wine Review is a stellar bi-monthly publication, not
just a list of wines with scores; it provides insight and understanding
as to why wines differ in style and quality. They advocate all
types of wine education. IRW complements Affairs
of the Vine's philosophy. Visit http://www.i-winereview.com
to subscribe to this independent, insightful, in-depth, and dare
                we say, incredible publication. A
fantastic array of palates will gather to assess the best of the
best at the Pinot Noir Shootout finals on January 16, 2008. Affairs
of the Vine, Wineworks and International
Wine Review will conduct the 6th Annual Pinot
                Noir Shootout. The
Pinot Noir Shootout will again explore and assess different styles
of Pinot Noir. We will denote the descriptors and scores of the
panelists and if there is a definitive difference, we will describe
the wines as experienced by the female and male panelists in an
attempt to discover whether women and men prefer different wine
                styles. We
will conduct The Pinot Noir Shootout prelims in December and early
January. The final judging will be conducted on Wednesday, January
                16, 2008. Pinot
Noir from any appellation worldwide may be submitted. Articles
featuring The Pinot Noir Shootout will appear in numerous wine
publications in addition to features on the Affairs
                of the Vine and International
